A União Nacional dos Estudantes (UNE) vai pressionar o Congresso Nacional para que parte dos recursos do fundo do Pré-sal sejam usados para financiar os cursos de 500 mil a um milhão de jovens do País. Essa linha de ação foi um dos temas da audiência concedida pelo presidente Lula aos dirigentes da UNE e da União Brasileira dos Estudantes Secundaristas (Ubes) nesta segunda-feira (18/1). Para o presidente da UNE, Augusto Chagas, os recursos poderiam chegar a R$ 2 bilhões.
“É importante que se dê prioridade à educação. E a UNE defende que o governo se mobilize para o debate sobre este tema importante”, afirmou Chagas.
O presidente da UNE disse que a audiência vinha sendo solicitada desde meados do ano passado para que ele pudesse apresentar a proposta da entidade ao presidente Lula. A reunião contou também com a participação do secretário geral da Presidência da República, Luiz Dulci; do ministro das Relações Institucionais, Alexandre Padilha, e assessores.
