Presidente Lula visitou um laboratório do Ceitec, inaugurado hoje (5/2), em Porto Alegre (foto: Ricardo Stuckert/PR)
Num discurso bastante enfático, o presidente Lula assegurou que se as empresas de telecomunicações não participarem do plano nacional de banda larga, o governo irá fazer, ou seja, colocar infraestrutura para que a população tenha acesso à internet de alta velocidade no país. Lula afirmou que vem desenhando a proposta ouvindo os mais diversos segmentos da sociedade. Na próxima semana, ele terá reunião com representantes das lan houses. O posicionamento do presidente ocorreu, na tarde desta sexta-feira (5/2), na cerimônia de inauguração do Centro Nacional em Tecnologia Eletrônica Avançada (Ceitec), em Porto Alegre (RS). Lula chamou a atenção também para o fato da redescoberta do Brasil pelos doutores que, no passado, buscaram cursos de graduação no exterior. De acordo com o presidente, o Ceitec é a porta para a retorno dos cientistas.
Para o presidente, é preciso alavancar a produção do centro gaúcho para que outras fábricas sejam construídas no Brasil. Lula afirmou que “acabou o tempo em que uma empresa pública tinha de ser deficitária”. Com excessão do setor de saúde, as estatais devem perseguir o lucro em seus respectivos negócios. “É assim que os comunistas do século 21 estão pensando”, argumentou.
Não foi nenhum cidadão de esquerda, nenhum comunista que descobriu o papel do Estado. Foi o fracasso do sistema financeiro internacional, há um ano e meio atrás, que fez ressurgir o Estado como o único capaz de salvar a economia naquele momento.
Lula incentivou o ministro da Ciência e Tecnologia, Sergio Rezende, a ampliar o programa de investimentos em TI para ser incluído no PAC 2, a ser lançado no próximo mês. O presidente disse também que os recursos de R$ 41 bilhões disponíveis para o segmento no PAC da Ciência e Tecnologia precisam ser utilizados pelos empresários do setor.
O Ceitec tem como objetivo a realização de projetos e a fabricação e o desenvolvimento de circuitos integrados (chips). O governo federal investiu no empreendimento cerca de R$ 450 milhões. O Ceitec -- única empresa comercial no Brasil e na América Latina a realizar o processamento e a fundição de lâminas de silício visando à produção de chips -- foi instalado num complexo de 14,6 metros quadrados, localizado numa área com cerca de 5,6 hectares. A meta é implantar um ecossistema microeletrônico, com o propósito de capacitar o País para o desenvolvimento e a produção de circuitos integrados. A empresa possui duas unidades principais, uma unidade fabril e um centro de pesquisa e desenvolvimento.

RIO – No site de classificados americano Craigslist é possível encontrar de tudo um pouco. Mas desta vez, a diversidade de opções foi longe demais. Na descrição de um anúncio, uma mulher chamada “Sara” procurava por um “homem realmente agressivo” para estuprá-la em sua casa. Pelo menos um homem, Ty McDowell, de 26 anos, respondeu ao anúncio, dizendo querer ser o escolhido para atacá-la. E a história ainda fica mais curiosa: descobriu-se que o autor do anúncio era o ex-namorado de “Sara”, o oficial da Marinha americana Jebidiah Stipe. Foi ele quem trocou e-mails com o estuprador passando-se pela namorada, combinando o “encontro”. Segundo a polícia, Stipe forneceu o endereço, enviou foto e aguardou o crime acontecer.
No dia 11 de dezembro, McDowell invadiu a casa de “Sara”, em Casper, no estado de Wyoming, amordaçou-a, amarrou-a e então a violentou.
O promotor local Mike Blonigen disse que resolveu inidicar McDowell por agressão sexual, apesar de o crime ter sido cometido achando-se que se tratava de uma fantasia de “Sara”. Stipe foi considerado cúmplice, e ambos estão presos.
