Com uma defesa macroecômica muito bem postada, um ataque social forte, com o Bolsa Família, e tendo na nova classe média o seu Pelé, o Brasil chegará a 2014 com um grande time, tendo incorporado mais do que uma ‘França’ de cidadãos às classes A, B e C -- 68 milhões de pessoas. Nos últimos oito anos, o Brasil incluiu 32 milhões de pessoas. O panorama foi dado nesta quinta-feira (17/6) pelo economista Marcelo Cortes Neri, da Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), durante reunião do Conselho de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (CDES), realizada em Brasília.
Segundo dados apresentados por Neri, a renda do brasileiro vem crescendo 5,3% ao ano e houve uma queda de 43% do total de miseráveis do País num período de cinco anos -- entre 19 e 20 milhões de brasileiros.
Fizemos muito em pouco tempo e acho que essa agenda procura elencar um conjunto de políticas. Nossa defesa macroeconômica está muito bem postada e nosso ataque social está muito forte, que é o Bolsa Família. O nosso Pelé é a nova classe média. Estamos falando de uma França a ser incorporada ao mercado e à cidadania. Isso é possível. Ou seja, crescimento com redução de desigualdade.
Para que os bons resultados obtidos no País até aqui sejam confirmados, é preciso que o Brasil invista em educação -- um dos principais pontos da agenda proposta pelo Conselho.
Se no passado o Brasil era o mais ‘envergonhado’ dos Bric (grupo composto por Brasil, Rússia, Índia e China), agora estamos no mesmo nível, afirma Neri. E para que esse processo tenha sustentabilidade, é preciso investir em educação, reiteirou o economista.
A agenda de futuro é econômica, é social. O Brasil não é um país previsível. Temos revoluções acontecendo que só de vez enquanto nos damos conta. A dificuldade brasileira é jogar junto. E esse Conselho está conseguindo fazer que todos atuem juntos.
