França apoia Brasil no acordo nuclear com o Irã

Comunicado distribuído pelo presidente da França, Nicolas Sarkozy, nesta terça-feira (18/5), no Instituto de Feiras de Madri (IFEMA), manifesta apoio ao presidente Lula pela obtenção do acordo nuclear com o Irã. Segundo o texto, este foi o tema da reunião bilateral ocorrida durante a VI Cumbre União Européia, América Latina e Caribe.
De acordo com a nota oficial, a França fará gestão junto à Agencia Internacional de Energia Atômica (AIEA) para que concorde com os termos do acordo firmado na última segunda-feira (17/5), em Teerã, durante encontro entre os presidentes Lula e Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (Irã) e o primeiro-ministro da Turquia, Tayyip Erdogan. Ainda no comunicado, Sarkozy diz que a França dará prioridade junto ao Grupo dos Seis países [França, Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Rússia, Alemanha e China] para discutir o assunto e as implicações que possam equacionar o impasse.
O presidente francês afirma, mais adiante, que vê como sendo positiva a cláusula na qual o Irã entregará 1.200 quilos de urânio à Turquia, com retorno para aquele país do urânio enriquecido a 20%. Essa era uma das questões colocadas na negociação sobre a produção de energia nuclear pelo Irã.
O primeiro passo foi dado, diz Marco Aurélio Garcia.
Em conversa com jornalistas na sala de imprensa da VI Cúpula União Européia, América Latina e Caribe, o assessor especial para Assuntos Internacionais da Presidência da República, Marco Aurélio Garcia, explicou que o acordo foi muito importante e que a proposta de Sarkozy de levar o tema ao Grupo dos Seis tem por objetivo apenas cumprir uma formalidade.
Garcia acredita que o mais importante foi a relação de confiança firmada entre Brasil, Irã e Turquia. Daqui para frente, segundo avaliou, será verificada a decisão do Irã de enriquecer o urânio. “O mais difícil era chegar a um acordo. Então, o primeiro passo foi dado”, explicou Garcia.
